Salem Police Department
Veterans Memorial Parkway
Salem, NH 03079

Serves as a citizen-sponsored program which gives the community the opportunity to anonymously assist the police in the reduction of crime in Salem. Monetary reward possible.

If witnesses have information about criminal activity, wanted people or unsolved crimes, they can call Crimeline of Southern New Hampshire, Inc. at 893-6600 or 1-800-498-4040. Your call will be completely anonymous and you will be issued a secret Crimeline number, known only to you and to Crimeline. The information you provide will be passed on to the investigative agency of the Police that have jurisdiction for the crime. If the information leads to the arrest of the suspects involved, Crimeline will pay you up to $1,000 cash reward. Callers are not required by Crimeline to give their names or to come forward to testify as a witness in a trial. However, if a Crimeline caller wishes to forego anonymity and come forward to testify as a witness in a trial, Crimeline will double the cash reward. Since Crimeline has been in existence, they have helped the Police Department solve crimes such as burglaries, larcenies, narcotics (deals), as well as the recovery of stolen merchandise and arrest of those responsible. The success of Crimeline of Southern New Hampshire, Inc. over the past years has been the direct result of the support of the citizens in the community that Crimeline serves.

The support comes from businesses, social groups, and individuals. Without the support of these people, Crimeline would not have the effect that it has had over the years in helping fight crime and making these towns safer places to live. Credit can also be given to the news media for their direct involvement in getting the message of Crimeline out to the communities.
