The deadline for this month's contest is 12:00 Midnight Sunday, November 30, 2008

The October contest winner(s) will be posted by Friday, December 19, 2008.

Anyone can participate. Regardless of whether you are a professional or an amateur, a digital shooter or a film lover, an outdoor enthusiast or a studio photographer, you can enter the contest. You do not have to be a resident of Salem to enter, however the photograph must be taken in Salem. You can submit up to five photos per monthly contest, so the more months you enter, the better your chances are to win the Grand Prize!

At the end of the year, we hold a Grand Prize contest where the entries for the Grand Prize contest will be the 12 First-place winners from the calendar year. The Grand Prize is having your picture featured on the cover of the Annual Report. Please see the chart below for future contest themes and start taking pictures!

Original photograph entries will be accepted in digital format (.jpg, .bmp, .tif) or printed form. Please see our helpful hints for formatting information. All entries must include a completed entry form and all release forms that apply. Images will be judged on overall photographic and artistic quality, as well as the depiction of the theme.
