The Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA) was established by legislation (RSA 162-L) in 1983 to address the issues of affordable housing and economic opportunity for low and moderate income New Hampshire residents.

The Department of Resources and Economic Development was established by the General Court of New Hampshire under Chapter 223 of the laws of 1961 and consists of four divisions: Forest and Lands, Parks and Recreation, Travel and Tourism Development, and Economic Development.

The New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority NHHFA is a non-profit public benefit corporation established by the state legislature. The Authority operates a broad range of programs designed to assist low and moderate-income persons and families obtain decent, safe and affordable housing.

The Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce is a private, non-profit corporation of hundreds of businesses and professionals that have joined together for the betterment of our communities. They serve five Southern New Hampshire Communities - Atkinson, Hampstead, Pelham, Salem, and Windham.

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) programs primary purpose is the development of viable urban communities, by providing decent housing, suitable living environments and expanding economic opportunities, principally for persons of low and moderate income. It is sponsored by the US Dept. of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) and administered through the NH Office of State Planning (OSP).

The Office of Regional Development Corporations in New Hampshire provides guidance to financing and technical assistance to facilitate the development of significant amounts of economic development capital; enhance the general business climate in the State of New Hampshire; and otherwise support community development and redevelopment needs.

The New Hampshire State Data Center (NHSDC) is administered by the Office of State Planning to provide data users with easy access to census related information on New Hampshire. The State Data Center program is a cooperative program between the states and the U.S. Census Bureau.

The New Hampshire Land Conservation Investment Program (LCIP), under NH RSA 162-C:6 (formally RSA 221-A), is responsible for monitoring the condition and status of 80 state-held conservation easements (approx. 25,880 acres) acquired by the LCIP during the late 1980s and early 1990s.
